Michael Scott Grein, a 1989 Stafford High School Graduate, joined the U.S. Army between his junior and senior years. It was the start of his lifelong career of service. He served more than 24 years in the Army, which paid for his college education at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.
In 2013 Grein retired from the Army and then worked for the State of Texas as an investigator for the Department of Motor Vehicles. He currently works as an Operations Specialist for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Grein has been recognized for his service and achievements with numerous honors including MEPS Guidance Counselor-of-the-Year, Officer-of-the-Month, Soldier-of-the-Year, and several Armed Forces and Humanitarian Service medals.
My career started while I was in Stafford High school, and I am proud to be continuing my lifelong service more than 25 years later.
