Jalen Pitre Eyes NFL Career

By Tracey Armintor

Jalen Pitre ended his Baylor career on a high note, as the Bears defeated Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl 21-7. A proud graduate of Stafford High School, Jalen earned several awards during his senior year in Waco. He was named the AP’s Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as well as being named to the Walter Camp All-American team. In addition, he was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top defensive back.

With his college career behind him, Jalen will now turn his attention to the NFL Combine held in Indianapolis March 1-7, 2022 where he can showcase his talents to NFL scouts. Pitre is expected to be a Second Round draft pick where he can continue the proud tradition of Spartan players in the NFL, joining Adrian Awasom and Craig Robertson as Stafford graduates to play at the highest level.
