Planning & Accountability

Our mission is to prepare each student to become college and career ready without remediation.

The Texas Education Agency announced accreditation statuses for all Texas school districts and charter schools on February 5, 2016. The assignment of district accreditation statuses I required by Texas Education Code (TEC), Chapter 39, Public School System Accountability, and authorized in 19 Texas Administrative Code (TAXC), Chapter 97, Planning and Accountability, Subchapter EE Accreditation Status, Standards and Sanctions.

The accreditation system examines both the financial and academic health of districts and charter schools. It also examines performance in other areas such as data reporting, special program effectiveness, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Under the accreditation system, ratings of Accredited, Accredited-Warned, Accredited-Probation, or Not Accredited-Revoked are issued. The status of a district or charter can be listed as pending if an investigation is underway. The TEA website has more information on the TEA Accreditation System.
