SMSD hosts Groundbreaking for Admin Building

The Stafford Municipal School District celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new Administration Building on Tuesday morning.

Stafford MSD Superintendent Dr. Robert Bostic and Stafford MSD Board President Christopher Caldwell welcomed guests to the program at the Stafford Civic Center. Pastor Sarah Stanley of Grace Apostolic Church in Stafford gave the Invocation.

After the initial ceremony, Dr. Bostic, President Caldwell, Stafford MSD Board Vice President Xavier Herrera, Trustees Greg Holsapple, Auturo Jackson and Manuel Hinojosa, Trustee Elect Ash Hamirani, City Council Members Don Jones and Ken Mathew as well as AUTOARCH Architects and LAN, the Project Manager, participated in a ceremonial groundbreaking photos with shovels.

A reception at the Stafford College & Career Center followed.

The new Stafford MSD Administration Building creates a significant landmark on the campus, with a floor plan of 26,362 square feet. The building is situated just southwest of the current Administration building. The interior of the building reflects the District’s campus history with themes utilizing vibrant, energy-centric graphics in the main lobby.

The exterior features a distinguished red canopy over a secure and inviting lobby that leads to the board room and other meeting spaces. Throughout the building, natural light is captured by strategically placed windows, reducing the reliance on artificial lighting.

The first floor will include the main lobby, board room, a small café, a memorabilia showcase, staff offices and lounge. It will host SMSD Board Meetings, public meetings, conferences, trainings and more.

The second floor will include the Superintendent’s Suite, executive offices and a conference room.
