SMSD is proud to host the School Market in partnership with The Houston Food Bank and long-time community supporter, Mary Ann Smith.
The School Market program was developed to improve access to nutritional foods for school communities.
A key feature of School Markets is that they are staffed by students who receive training on how to set up products, restock and clean up the area after distributions. Besides being an opportunity for practiced leadership for student volunteers, School Markets provide critical nutrition to older children which results in better grades, improved attendance, and a healthier community.

Stafford MSD hosted the 3rd Annual Parent University Conference: Building Better Together.
The Parent University Conference is a wonderful opportunity for parents, caregivers, and community members to hear from our wonderful Spartan staff and community organizations on a plethora of topics that will give attendees new tools and information that can be used to support student learning.
SMSD is grateful to all of the wonderful presenters and community organizations who provided invaluable information to all attendees.
A special thanks to Rodeo Dental, NAACP-Houston, Houston Community College, Attack Poverty and Riceland Urgent Care for sharing with our community.
