Mrs. Alicia Lacy-Castille was appointed to the Stafford Municipal School District (SMSD) Board of Trustees in November 2014. Mrs. Lacy-Castille served on SMSD’s Vision and Planning Committee and this initiative led to the approval of a $49.9 million bond referendum and the formation of SMSD’s College and Career Center. Mrs. Lacy-Castille attended Southern University A & M in Baton Rouge, Louisiana earning her Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English. Her commitment to being a life-long learner paved the way for her graduate school studies. She obtained her Master of Education in addition to her English-as-a-Second language and Mid-Management certifications. Mrs. Lacy-Castille has twenty-seven years in education as a teacher, registrar, magnet coordinator, and assistant principal. Currently, she is employed as an Assessment Program Manager in the Houston Independent School District’s Student Assessment Department, managing state and district assessments.
Mrs. Lacy-Castille is proud of the positive impact she has made in the lives of children during her many years as an educator and administrator. Mrs. Lacy-Castille has been a committed resident of the city of Stafford for 15 years. Her service to the community has afforded many opportunities to give back to those in need. Mrs. Lacy Castille is an active member of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Girl Scouts of America. She has performed in the Fort Bend Theatre, being that acting is one of her passions. Mrs. Lacy-Castille has been married to Gary Castille for over 20 years and they have one daughter.
