Early Childhood Center Registration
Take the next big leap into early childhood learning — the adventure begins here! Here at the Stafford Early Childhood Center, we are building brains one neuron at a time.
Eligibility for PK-3 & PK-4
The Texas Legislature determines eligibility requirements for free, public Pre-K in Texas. When the Texas legislature established the Pre-K program the intent was, and still is, to provide early learning experiences to students who are most at risk for school failure. Therefore, the eligibility is limited. The legislature believed that a high-quality Pre-K program could mitigate the impact of the at-risk characteristics, thereby assisting these students to become school ready when they enter Kindergarten. Stafford MSD offers a Pre-K program for eligible students who turn 3 or 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year in which they intend to enroll. The student must meet one of the requirements listed below. If a student does not meet one of the requirements, then the acceptance will be contingent on a fee TBD.

NEW! NOW ACCEPTING NON-RESIDENT TRANSFERS FOR PK
We are currently accepting Non-Resident Transfer students for PK-3 and PK-4. If you are a non-resident transfer, you will also need to complete the Non-Resident Transfer Application provided below in the steps for Getting Started. The deadlines for Non-Resident Student Transfers may vary depending on grade level and the type of transfer request. All Pre-K and Kindergarten applications that are completed and submitted by April 17 will be approved. All other applications will be placed on a waitlist and will be accepted based on space availability.
