Please join us as we celebrate the accomplishments of these two student athletes, who have worked incredibly hard throughout their season. It was a packed house at the Board Meeting on Monday, May 9 as the Board of Trustees and administration recognized over 100 students for their outstanding accomplishments in the UIL State Soccer Tournament, DECA, SkillsUSA, Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE), and the Houston Community College Associates Degree program.

The 2021-22 Stafford Boys Soccer team reached the UIL State Tournament for the first time in program history. They sealed the season as District and Region 3-4A Champions. Read more about their accolades from TASCO including Coach of the Year Ruben Perez and Justin Zenteno who will play in the TASCO Senior Showcase on May 14!

We are bursting with pride for our very own #SMSDAlumni Jalen Pitre from the Class of 2017, who was drafted by the Houston Texans in round 2 of the #NFLDraft this past weekend. He is the first student from Stafford MSD to be drafted in the early rounds by the NFL, and many folks from Stafford have been calling it for years.

The Spartan boys from Stafford High School Varsity team made history over the weekend and the team is all smiles as the Region 3-4A champions. The team will play against the Boerne Greyhounds on Wednesday, April 13 at 4:00 p.m. at the Georgetown ISD Stadium. The winner will advance to the State Finals on Friday, April 15. Go Spartans!

Congratulations to the Stafford Sensations dance team for their spectacular performances at Showtime Nationals, Moody Gardens in Galveston this past weekend! All are welcome to come out and witness award winning dances, the dance program, and color guard students at the Sensations Spring Showcase on Wednesday, April 20 in the Stafford High School Competition Gym from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Stafford High School boys’ soccer team is no stranger to success. The team, under the direction of Coach Ruben Perez, has made the playoffs for the past seven years and reached the Regional Semifinals in 2019. The Spartans will be back in action on Tuesday, March 29 at 5:30pm for a second round matchup against the Hargrave Huffman Falcons at Delmar Stadium.

The Stafford Spartan boys’ basketball program fought through a challenging year and finished the season as the District 25-4A Champions! The Spartans were able to win a district that consisted of three state ranked teams after playing a demanding non-district schedule.

Despite entering district play with a depleted roster due to injury, the Lady Spartans were still able to finish the season with four district wins and an overall 9-16 record. Additionally, five athletes from Coach Spivey's team received end of season recognition.

Jalen Pitre ended his Baylor career on a high note, as the Bears defeated Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl 21-7. A proud graduate of Stafford High School, Jalen earned several awards during his senior year in Waco. He was named the AP’s Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year as well as being named to the Walter Camp All-American team.

It has been 2 years since students have been able to gather together for the Homecoming tradition and this year the energy was unmatched. Students had fun bringing back many festivities and didn’t miss a Spartan beat. All campuses were invited to join in on the fun, all the way from the Early Childhood Center through the High School.

After much hard work and dedication, the Stafford High School Varsity Volleyball clinched their way into 3rd place by defeating the La Marque Cougars in their final match of the season. Come out on Monday, November 1 to watch our Lady Spartans dominate Calhoun Sandcrabs at Bay City High School at 6:30 p.m. in the Bi-District round of the playoffs!

Stafford High School is now repeat District 23 Team Tennis Champions, following last year's historic achievements! Stay tuned as the Spartans head to Navasota on Tuesday, October 12 for the next round of the playoffs and the opportunity to advance.

Despite this strange year, StaffordTennis has had some of the most exciting highs and truly an incredible season all year long. Last fall they were District 23 Champions and now Sophomore twins Yvette and Ariane are headed to the state championship. Read more about they're sweet Region victory!

Our Varsity football boys ended a fantastic season on Saturday, November 21 in a tough loss to Tyler Chapel Hill during the Area round. The season was even more challenging and limited due to COVID-19, so we are extremely proud of our Spartans and expect them to continue pursuing greatness on and off the field.

Camp has been closed for 14 days until July 8 because a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 last Wednesday, June 24.
The camp will be every Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM starting on Monday, June 8 through Friday, July 17.
All interested students from 7th to 12th grade are encouraged to participate. Cost to attend is $25 and $15 to add a second student. If you'd like to register, be sure to read our Parent Letter to get more information and sign the Release Form.

Pitre, a Baylor University sophomore outside linebacker, will get an opportunity to play in the Texas Bowl at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27 at NRG Stadium in Houston. The Bears (6-6) will play Vanderbilt University (6-6) from the Southeastern Conference (SEC). “It's very exciting - it couldn't have played out better for my family and I,” Pitre said. “I will have a chance to play 10 minutes from my house.”
