Earlier this month, Principal Twyla Hynes of Stafford Early Childhood Center (SECC) received a notice detailing the exciting news that her campus had received the honor of being named a “2023 National Demonstration School” by the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE). This national distinction is awarded to an elite group of campuses in recognition of their achievements in instruction, diversity, as well as family and community involvement.

Stafford MSD has a mission to ensure that all students graduate college and career ready without remediation. Part of accomplishing this mission is to create rich, engaging learning experiences that foster the 21st century skills students need to compete in today's society. Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, and digital citizenship are becoming more and more essential as we move toward an ever growing digital world.
