The libraries at SMSD are dedicated to supporting our school and community with resources that provide educational, information, entertainment, inspiration, and opportunity. Together with teachers, curriculum coordinators, technology specialists and administrators, the SMSD library staff works to meet the educational needs of all SMSD students.

The library provides a flexible, open-access learning environment with a diverse collection of print and electronic resources. Instruction takes the form of developing information literacy skills with application in curriculum objectives.

The Margaret Havens Library at Stafford MSD is dedicated to supporting our school and community with resources for education, information, entertainment, inspiration and opportunity. The library provides materials in a wide array of formats that will fulfill an appetite for information. The Community Library is designated for use by our students, City of Stafford residents and also parents for LOE students that attend SMSD.

Hours of Operation

The school library media program is an integral part of the total educational program of Stafford Municipal School District. Therefore, the Library Media Services Department has developed these policies and procedures in order to ensure fair and equal access to information, equipment, and services for all patrons.

Stafford Early Childhood Center and Elementary Library are open from 8:00 a.m. – 3:40 p.m.
Stafford Secondary Library is open from 7:00 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.

Special Notice: The library schedule at each school varies, be sure to check with the campus library for changes to this schedule.
