HCC Dual Credit

In proud partnership with Houston Community College Southwest, Stafford and Missouri City campuses, Stafford MSD can offer students an opportunity to complete an Associate's of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from HCC free of charge before they graduate from high school.

Dual Credit at Houston Community College (HCC)

Stafford MSD is offering your student a wonderful opportunity and potentially saving you approximately $30,000 dollars in College Tuition, Textbooks/Supplies and Housing.   An Associate of Arts Degree is a 60-college hour program that is transferable to any state supported college in Texas.  An Associate’s of Arts Degree is intended primarily for students planning on transferring to a senior college or university to receive a baccalaureate degree in the following areas: Communication, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Fine Arts, however, this does not preclude any students interested in other disciplines from completing the program.  This would also assist students who might need to work while completing their four-year degree.  Their employment opportunities and salary increase tremendously when they can show an employer that they have completed a 60-hours degree as well as showing them that they have the work ethic and determination to complete a college program while still in high school.

We have developed a plan that integrates our High School Graduation requirements with the HCC Associate's Degree requirements, which allows the student to complete both concurrently and most time these students will graduate from College before they graduate from High School.
